HOW NATALIE STEWART GOT HERE...xx

I was born in the midst of a record breaking winter…in Germany…5 years after my sister, and 7 years after my brother…February, (of course!), the 13th, (well naturally!!), AQUARIUS, (what else!?!)...to my Jamaican born, British raised parents!...A historical event all around…Daddy had to be flown in, all autobahns were closed…oh, and did I mentioned that I was born at a record breaking (for said hospital) healthy, weight of 11lbs 4oz!...SO…I caught my first plane at thirteen days of age! (I had to change my surroundings!)

England…13 days – 2 ½ years...
I have many memories that fall within this period, pretty vivid one’s to! You’d be surprised, sometimes I feel like I can see out of my old new eyes!...THEN…

Hong Kong…2 ½ years – 5 years...
Now these years I remember from the actual flight (British Calendonian, when they still used to let you go and visit the pilot!), and the thickness of the heat in Dubai where we changed flights, all the way through to learning to swim, Lion Rock, starting school, Gregory Issacs’ Night Nurse album and many, many more moments…I LOVED THIS PART OF MY LIFE IMMENSELY!...THEN…

England 5 years – 7 years...
Now when I say England, I mean Reading, Arborfield, countryside and safety!...(These are the years that I served in the British Armed Forces…0-7…I was a vet by 7)...THEN…CIVILIAN LIFE…where better to start than…LONDON…7 years – 21 years...

What can I say about London, other than...London…what can I say!?!

PROUD I AM TO BE A BLACK EUROPEAN!!

EVEN PROUDER TO BE ENGLISH...QUEEN ON THE MONEY BABY...xx

Somewhere admist an amazing insperience and expression of art, literature, spoken word and performance...I became...once again...who I am...this time...I named her THE FLOACIST...I named my sister in creativity THE SONGSTRESS...and together we started to walk the planet as FLOETRY...1st stop...THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA…xx

U.S.A...21 years of age to present date...
Land of the brave and free dreamers! Just my kind of hang out...!...AND HANG OUT I DID...FLOACIST STYLEE...World tour continued...JAPAN, SOUTH AFRICA, A LARGE PART OF EUROPE AND MANY OF THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS...7 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS, 3 SOUL TRAIN AWARDS AND 1 MERCURY PRIZE NOMINATION LATER...
